ctm Celebrates 10 Years in Business

ctm was established in 1999 by Matt Cannon, Andrew Tomlinson and Kieran Mansley as part of an Engineering project during their Masters at Cambridge University.

Matt and Andrew became passionate about the company and took the decision to end their university studies and concentrate on establishing the company.

Originally located in a small office along Newmarket Road in 2000 the company had their first systems job for Shields Environmental, a company who remains a client. After this initial job their professional service and client recommendations saw the company expand and by 2003 they had outgrown their office and needed to locate to a larger premise along Barnwell Road.

Whilst at Barnwell Road the company began to define their product range offering Technology Consultancy, Software Development, Web Design, Technical Support and IT Infrastructure. They also began to improve their in house reporting system and achieved ISO: 9000 quality standard and Investors in People accreditation. The client base continued to increase and in 2008 to meet the needs of the burgeoning client-base the company moved to a new office and hired more people.

Today the company is located in the tranquil village of Stow-cum-Quy. The current economic climate has proved a difficult time for many businesses but the commitment to quality and strong communication with clients has enabled ctm to go from strength to strength. The company continues to offer a complete high-quality IT service from a team of highly-skilled, multi-talented professionals, each assigned to one or more of our five main departments.

The future of ctm looks bright, with many opportunities on the horizon to continue the growth of the company. Managing Director Matt Cannon commented:

“The company has come a long way since it was established ten years ago. The last year has been one of the toughest years for business but we have overcome all of the challenges faced in a recession and are now looking forward to the next ten years.”
